India has confirmed that 12 Indian nationals have died while serving in the Russian military during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The Taliban regime has appointed Ikramuddin Kamil as the acting consul in the Afghan mission in Mumbai, Afghan media has reported. This is the first such appointment made by the Taliban set up to any Afghan mission in India. China has reiterated its plan to build the world's largest dam over the Brahmaputra River in Tibet, near the Indian border.
